About BHU
Banaras Hindu University, founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in 1916, is one of the oldest and largest residential universities in Asia. Located in the holy city of Varanasi, BHU encompasses over 1,300 acres with 140+ departments across 4 institutes and 14 faculties. It houses the famous IIT (BHU) Varanasi and the Institute of Medical Sciences.
