grokipedia.org.in is an independent website that explains Central and State government schemes, scholarships and fellowships in plain English: who is eligible, what you get, which documents you need and how to apply.
Our aim is simple: take the information buried in a 20-page government PDF and turn it into a page you can understand in 5 minutes, without hiding anything and without exaggerating anything. Every page starts from the official record, and pages a team member has reviewed say so, with the name and the date.
We do not accept applications and we do not charge any fee. Applications are always made on the official portal, which is linked at the end of every page.
How we work
Every page is built from the official listing (myScheme, the department portal, the guidelines or the notification). We never take content from other websites.
Most pages are drafted with AI tools from that record. Every number and date in a draft must appear in the official text, amounts keep the period the source gives, and anything the record does not say (a last date, a fee) is never filled in; the page sends you to the official portal instead.
A page a team member has checked against the source shows "Reviewed by" with the name and date. Without that line, a page has not been reviewed by a person yet. Found a mistake? Tell us on the Corrections page.
AI-drafted pages and pages that still show the official text as it is say so at the bottom of the page.
Our sources
Information on this website comes from the official sources below. Scheme pages do not carry a separate source line, because the end of every page links to that scheme's official portal and notification; that is the final, authoritative source.
- myScheme (Government of India)The official discovery portal for Central and State schemes. Scheme names, ministries, categories and basic structure are cross-checked here.
- National Scholarship Portal (NSP)Notifications, dates and guidelines for Central scholarships.
- india.gov.in (National Portal of India)Official links of ministries and departments.
- Press Information Bureau (PIB)Cabinet decisions, new scheme launches and official press releases.
- Ministry and department websitesThe end of every scheme page links to that scheme's official portal and guidelines PDF; that is the final source.
- State government portalsFor State schemes, the portal of the relevant State department (for example the welfare departments of Bihar, UP, MP and Rajasthan).
- Gazette of India and official notificationsThe date and text of the notification whenever rules change.
- DBT BharatList and status of Direct Benefit Transfer schemes.
